Concerning the Kruger Treehouse Camp
The Greater Kruger Treehouse Camp is constructed and operated to minimize its ecological footprint. Here, you can securely immerse yourself in the marvels of the African bush, without disturbing nature’s fragile equilibrium. This eco safari camp is located in the private Klaserie Nature Reserve, which is part of the Greater Kruger Park. The private game reserve provides a more personal safari experience devoid of the crowds found in public national parks.
The tree camp comprises merely five tented cottages, akin to treehouses. These treehouses, constructed from wood, canvas, and thatch, are elevated on stilts with balconies that provide vistas of the African wilderness, where wildlife traverses freely. Each of the five chalets features an en-suite bathroom and is strategically located to provide visitor privacy, accommodating no more than ten individuals at any time. For social interaction, there is an open, thatched-roof lounge where we may convene with other guests and exchange our experiences. If the heat becomes intolerable, a splash pool is available for cooling down. All illumination is sourced from solar energy to minimize environmental impact, and each chalet is equipped with a charging outlet for camera batteries.
The main thatch-roofed area serves dinner. An outdoor boma features a classic safari campfire, serving as a venue to savor beverages before or after dinner, foster camaraderie, converse about the day’s observations, and relish the African night. The treehouse safari camp is illuminated solely by lanterns, providing an authentic African safari experience. The closeness and genuine friendliness of this treehouse camp create an unforgettable safari experience in South Africa.
