15 Days Full Uganda Safari: Detailed Itinerary

 Day 1: Arrival to the airport and Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary 

At the Entebbe airport upon your arrival, a representative of Adventure in the wild Safaris will greet you and transport you to your Kampala accommodation. Enjoy the breeze coming from the second-largest lake in the world, Lake Victoria. Enjoy your dinner and have an over night stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls Via Rhino Tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

The guide will take you up from the hotel after breakfast and drive you to Uganda’s Murchison Falls national park. You will travel through a number of neighborhoods, including the Luwero triangle.

Early in the 1980s, Luwero was a battle zone, which helped the National Residence movement win. You will pause in Masindi for lunch and the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for relaxation and a chance to see the critically endangered white rhinos. In Uganda’s wildlife parks, rhinos are no longer present due to widespread poaching that wiped them off. After their population grows from the refuge, there is a proposal to reintroduce them into the national parks. The driver will take you right to the top of the Murchison falls after you’ve seen the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary so you can take pictures and soak in the deafening roars of the river Nile. Dinner and an overnight stay at Pakuba Lodge round out your day.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Cruise on River Nile 

The largest national park in Uganda, Murchison Falls, offers satisfying game viewing. The possibilities of spotting various species, particularly the predators that like to hide during the heat of the day, enhance when the game drives start early in the morning just after breakfast. While on the wildlife drive, we search for giraffes, elephants, hartebeest, buffaloes, leopards, lions, and many bird species along the northern bank of the River Nile.
You will then get to the lodge have your lunch and prepare for an afternoon safari on river Nile.
The safari will continue on the River Nile – Nile boat safari in the afternoon in the direction of the impressive Murchison Falls. The leisurely boat safari offers greater chances to see a wide range of animals, birds, and other wildlife. You have the chance to observe the falls from below. You will then get to the lodge have diner and have an over night stay.

Day 4: Drive to the chimpanzees In Kibale Forest National Park

Today, we travel to Kibale National Park, which is home to chimpanzees. 13 different primates species can be found in the Kibale Forest, although chimpanzee tracking and bird watching are the main draws. There are settlements and vibrant road markets on the way to this tropical jungle. A packed lunch will be brought along. This journey will take you over 8 hours to arrive at the park. You will check in and be directed to the lodge where to have dinner and spend an over night.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in their Natural Habitant 

A rewarding trip, chimpanzee tracking takes you deep into tropical forests with streams of water and a variety of fauna. Immediately after break fast, you will get to the park headquarters where you will meet the ranger guide and give you a briefing before the start of your chimpanzee expedition. You might see red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white Columbus monkeys, butterflies, and birds calling from the trees while out on your hike. Your ranger guide will assist you find the chimpanzees. Enjoy taking photos of them and watching them play, groom, and feed.
Depending on time constraints, visit Bigodi wetland after lunch, a community initiative recognized for its diverse population of birds and primates. Through tour guiding, this community enterprise helps young people find employment. A portion of the money raised supports teacher salaries and school construction. Get to the lodge have your dinner and prepare for an over night stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Our wildlife trip continues today after breakfast in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Views of a number of crater lakes and the mysterious Rwenzori Mountain ranges are available. Take a boat safari in Kazinga Channel after arriving at the park and eating lunch. A fantastic way to appreciate the water, wildlife, birds, and photography is on a boat safari.
With in a shortest time, you will be arriving at the park, check in have dinner and have an overnight stay.

Day 7: Game Drive and Transfer to Ishasha Sector

The animals are out beginning their days in their various families, clans, and groups. Watch the animals in their natural environment and compare them to the caged creatures in zoos. You will primarily accomplish this from the Kasenyi Plains, which are home to a significant Kob mating area. Watch out for animals like elephants, lions, leopards, waterbucks, buffaloes, and a variety of vibrant birds.
After this encounter, we travel to Ishasha, which is renowned for its tree-climbing lions, to observe them. Although it is difficult to locate these, we will launch a search with the aid of rangers. Lunch will be either a picnic or served at the inn. From there, you will get to the lodge have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Transfer to Gorillas in Bwindi Forest 

We set out on our trek to Bwindi, the home of the mountain gorillas, today. The route passes through the Kigezi highlands’ terraced slopes. Depending on the time of arrival, lunch will either be along the route or at the resort. At your hotel in the resort, get some well-earned slumber.

Day 9: Mountain Gorilla Trekking

Mountain gorillas are real gentle giants that can be seen in Uganda’s Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The thick forest of Bwindi is home to several types of trees, birds, butterflies, primates, and mammals. Along with early trackers, your ranger guide will lead you to the massive and endangered mountain gorillas that live deep within the Bwindi jungles. You only have an hour with the gorillas to capture your best moment; the trekking adventure can take anything from one hour (rarely) to roughly eight hours to complete. Those who are not interested in tracking gorillas can go on a short guided woodland walk or communal village walk.
From there, you will get to the lodge have lunch and prepare for an evening Batwa nature walk where you will get to interact with these people and get to know what their ways of leaving. You will get to the lodge have dinner and have an over night stay.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

As you share stories about your encounters with gorillas, we head to Lake Bunyonyi, the second-deepest lake in Africa. Enjoy the breathtaking countryside, which includes interlocking hills that the natives have terraced for farming and that Winston Churchill dubbed the “Switzerland of Africa.” Have your lunch at the lodge and relax.

Day 11: Lake Bunyonyi Islands

After a restful night’s sleep, wake up today have your break fast, and take in the sun’s rays as they shine over Lake Bunyonyi. It is surrounded by lovely hills that the people have terraced while growing potatoes and other crops for their consumption and surplus for sale.
Take a canoe trip to several of the 29 Islands to get a sense of the area’s history and culture. The most noteworthy is the tale of the “punishment island,” which your guide will tell you about while you ride on the boat.

Immediately after lunch, you can go swimming in the lake, go bird watching, or trek up a high hill in the afternoon to get a better perspective of the lake and its islands. As an alternative, you may relax by the lake’s beach and read a book.

Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

South Western Uganda’s Lake Mburo National Park is a hidden gem, and the drive there takes you past picturesque countryside, plantations, and farms.
We will have lunch at the Igongo Cultural Museum, which features exhibits on local indigenous people’s daily lives. With in a few hours, you will be arriving at the park.
Later that afternoon, we will take a boat tour on Lake Mburo in the park. From there you will check in at the park be directed to the lodge for your dinner and an over night stay.

Day 13: Transfer to Kampala via the equator

We go on a wildlife drive and then drive to Kampala after an early breakfast, stopping briefly at the eponymous Equator line. Depending on your arrival time, have lunch in the city or at the Equator before continuing to Jinja.

Day 14: Get the river Nile for Water Rafting

Wake up early in the morning have your breakfast and set off to visit the Nile’s source in Jinja to see where it begins its 4000-kilometer trek through Africa. Your driver guide will take you to the water rafting launch site, where other people are waiting for an action-packed day.
You will experience rafting on the Nile River for an entire day. Before lunch and after lunch, you will navigate half of the rapids. You might choose to go rafting for half a day and then relax in the afternoon or participate in one of the alternative activities.

Day 15: Transfer back to Entebbe airport for your flight
