Day 1: Entebbe to Lake Mburo National Park

Your Uganda Safari & Gorilla Trekking Tour starts in Entebbe with a scenic drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Along the way, stop at the equator for photos and explore local drum markets. Arrive at Lake Mburo in the afternoon for a game viewing experience and camp near the lake’s edge, home to hippos and zebras.

Day 2: Lake Mburo to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Begin with a game drive in Lake Mburo before journeying south through the rolling hills of Uganda toward the mystical Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Camp on the forest’s edge and prepare for your gorilla trekking experience.

Days 3–4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

Enjoy two days dedicated to gorilla trekking in Bwindi, one of the most unforgettable wildlife experiences in Africa. Hike through thick jungle terrain in small guided groups to observe endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. If trekking is completed on the first day, enjoy village and birding walks around the forest.

Days 5–6: Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park (Ishasha)

Travel to the wildlife-rich Queen Elizabeth National Park and explore the remote Ishasha region. Go on game drives in search of tree-climbing lions, elephants, and buffalo, while enjoying the vast savannah scenery.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth Park to Rwenzori Mountains

Traverse Queen Elizabeth Park, passing the Maramagambo Forest and Kazinga Channel. Enjoy panoramic views of the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains, known as the “Mountains of the Moon,” before camping in Uganda’s scenic tea-growing region near Fort Portal.

Day 8: Fort Portal to Masindi

Continue northeast through rural Uganda to Masindi. This day features a long scenic drive through traditional villages and fertile countryside. Overnight in a comfortable hotel in Masindi town.

Days 9–10: Murchison Falls National Park & Victoria Nile

Enter Murchison Falls National Park for thrilling chimpanzee tracking in its forested southern region. Explore the northern savannahs by ferry and spot Rothschild’s giraffe, lions, and antelope. Visit the dramatic Murchison Falls and enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on the Victoria Nile.

Days 11–12: Jinja & Kalagala Falls

Travel to Jinja, Uganda’s adventure hub located near the Nile’s source. Spend time at Kalagala Falls with opportunities to go whitewater rafting, bungee jumping, or take a sunset boat cruise. Optional community projects and horse riding are also available.

Day 13: Return to Entebbe
