4 Days Bird Viewing Queen Elizabeth Safari: Detailed Itinerary

 Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Head for your birding safaris after you’ve been served and you will embark on your journey crossing the equator at kayabwe in masaka, you will have your lunch stop when half way the journey an head on game drive en-route the lodging will earn you sight of birds like the Snake Eagle, Barbet, Cinnamon Chested Bee-eater, Kingfisher, Lesser Striped Swallow, Zitting Cisiticola, Grey-backed Shrike, Common Fiscal, Starling and Widowbird, then dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Game Drive and Bird Watching In Queen Elizabeth National Park

You will take a cup of coffee for warm up as you head for your game drive that will earn you a great birding experience on the kasenyi plains you can drive a few hours and have your packed breakfast and then after  you will return to the lodge have lunch and then head for the afternoon remarkable game drive along the kazinga channel  where you will view the hundreds of hippos, crocodile and birds species like the pelicans,storks,African spoonbill, Green backed heron, African white vulture, and a lot more. Back to accommodation dinner and a nights rest.

Day 3: Bird Watching in Maramagambo Forest 

Wake up to another day of the safari that is going to take you bird watching in Maramagambo forest in Queen Elizabeth. Grab a cup of coffee early in the morning with packed breakfast then penetrate through the forest to look out for the various bird species through a nature walk in the forest. You can then have a short break to take your packed breakfast as you do more birding. There after head to the hotel to have your lunch late meal, and proceed to katwe like  you could visit the salt mine if you choose so and then head for the search for birds while here you will see the like the Greater and Lesser Flamingos; Augur Buzzard; Crested Guineafowl; Pied Avocet; Black-winged Stilt; Diederick Cuckoo; Yellow bill; Narina Trogon; Shining-blue Kingfisher; Black Bee-eater; Black-and-White-Casqued Hornbill; Yellow-rumped, and Speckled Tinker birds; Grey-throated and Yellow-Spotted Barbets; Brown-eared Woodpecker, Rufous-naped, Flappet and Red-capped Larks; Grassland and Plain-backed Pipits; Western Nicator, Yellow-whiskered, Little and Slender-billed Greenbuls; Snowy-headed and many more. Take as many pictures as you want and then you can head back freshen up then dinner and evening relaxation.

Day 4: Departure back to Entebbe

Wake up  to freshen up as you head for your delicious morning meal .bags already packed in the car ready to head for Kampala with birding en-route as you look out for birds like Nubian Woodpecker, Bateleur, Crested Francolin, Blue-spotted Wood Dove, Brown Parrot, Bare-faced Go-away-bird, Lilac-breasted Roller, Broad-billed Roller, Striped Kingfisher, Blue-napped Mouse bird, African Grey Hornbill, Spot-flanked Barbet, Fork tailed Drongo, Cisiticolas, Weavers, Widowbirds,,you will have a lunch meal along the way and expected to arrive in the late evening with a drop at the airport to catch your next flight.
