15 Days Budget Kenya Gorilla & Victoria Falls: Detailed Itinerary
Day 1, 2, 3: Arrive in Zimbabwe to visit the Zimbabwe Victoria falls for 3 days.
On your arrival at the Victoria falls, you will be picked by your trained tour driver who will drive you to one of the nice hotels around to get a refreshment and relax for some time and release the tiredness to prepare for the next day.
On your 2nd day, you will wake up very in the morning, prepare yourselves and grab yourself a cup of coffee to warm yourself up for the day. You will then be picked up by your driver to take you around and visit the beautiful Victoria falls which are 1700 meters wide and 100 meters high. The falls are so interesting and amazing that once you go there you will get the doze of fun under the sun. The falls have a bridge which connect Zimbabwe and Zambia. On the falls, you will do a boat cruise where you will see a number of animals such as the impalas, elephants and the crocodiles on the river banks trying to get warmth. You will then drive back to the lodge to have lunch and then relax to prepare for an evening nature walk as you get to see very many animals and meet the local people around who will jazz you of the activities they do to earn a living more so the women .After the walk , you will drive back and then refresh up ,have dinner and prepare for the next day .
On the 3rd day, you will wake up early in the morning ,freshen up , grab yourself a cup of tea and then set off still to falls to have an excursion and a glance to the living stone island ,horseback safaris , and swimming in the devils pool .These activities will really not leave you the same because you will get to enjoy the nice looking waters of the falls while swimming hence relaxing your mind .You will also get to see the timid animals as you are having a horse back safaris such as the eland , buffaloes to mention but a few .From there you will have to set off back to the lodge and relax have your meals and then prepare for what is next .
Day 4: Transfer to Kenya, Nairobi
You will have towake up early , prepare yourselves , grab your self-morning breakfast to warm yourself up and then start off your journey to Kenya .This will take you some how a good quite of time to reach your destination .So you need to be some how patient while travelling .Along your way , you will be shown a number of wild animals such as the baboons , waterbucks to mention but a few .You will also see the beautiful landscape and the green vegetation .You will have a stop over at the Kenya comfort hotel and then have your lunch as you relax .You will then continue with your journey and arrive in Kenya where you will be checked in at the boarder and then be directed to the hotel where to spend an over night .You will refresh up , have dinner and then rest since it will be late no activity to be done on this day .Therefore you will rest and relax to prepare for the next day .

Day 5: Transfer to Masai Mara and then visit the Masai.
You will have to wake up very early in the morning, freshen up and then you will be picked up by your trained guide from the lodge, take you to this national reserve located in the southwest of Kenya. The reserve covers an area of 1510 kilometers for a morning game drive. .In this reserve , you will get to see a number of wild animals such as the lions , elephants , zebras , hippos , wildebeest , Thompson’s gazelle to mention but a few .You will also get to see a land of breath taking vistas and a beautiful scenery of the landscape .From there you will be driven back to the lodge to have some refreshment and lunch and then prepare for an evening nature walk with an armed ranger guide who will take you through the jungle . In this reserve , you will get to interact with the local people in the land such as the masai who will jazz you about how they straggle to earn a leaving .For example ,the women milk the cows and sell milk to earn money while their men are herds of cattle .In the walk you will also come across some wild animals such as the buffaloes, zebras ,elands to mention but a few .This will mark up the day .You will get back to the lodge refresh up , have dinner and then rest to prepare for the next day
Day 6, 7: Visit lake Nakuru and the Amboseli.
You will be woken up by the sweet melodies of the singing birds in the national reserve .You will have to prepare yourselves ,grab yourself a cup of coffee and then you will be picked up by your tour guide driver to have a morning game drive as you visit the local people of the masai .You will get to interact with there ladies and men .you will get to know the activities of the two patterns where by the ladies milk cows and they take care of their children and the house at home while the men are cattle herders .You will also get to know the staple food of these people which is blood , honey , meat and fat .
On this day ,you will have to wake up very early in the morning , refresh and grab yourself a cup a tea to a cup of coffee .Your trained tour guide will pick you from the hotel where you spent your night and take you around the town of Kenya where you will have to visit the Masai people who are semi nomadic pastoralists and cattle keepers at the same time .Here you will have a jazz with these people who will tell you what they do and how they earn their leaving .The women are in charge of milking the cattle and looking after the home with children while their men protect and graze cattle .You will also get to know the staple foods of the masai which is blood , honey ,meat ,milk ,fat and tree bark .From there you will visit lake Nakuru and have a glance on the pink flamingos ,the baboon cliff ,get a beautiful view of the outlook of Africa have a glance of the makalia falls and then go on a safari around the lake .You will then drive back to the lodge , have lunch , refresh up and then prepare for an evening walk in the Amboseli national park where you will get to see a number of animals such as the lions , elephants buffaloes to mention but a few .You will also get to view the beautiful sceneries of Kenya and the landscape at large .From there you will then drive back to the lodge to rest have dinner and then prepare for the next day to travel to Uganda .
Day 8: Transfer from Kenya to Uganda.
On this day, you will wake up early in the morning, organize your luggage, grab yourself a cup of coffee and then set off to Uganda. Since you will use road transport, you will take some good hours to reach your destination and it will take over 12 hours to 14 hours. Along our way, you will have a stop over to have some lunch and relax. From there, you will continue with your journey to Uganda. You will probably reach late since this is somehow a long journey. As you reach Uganda, you will be directed to the lodge where to spend an overnight. You will be welcomed, given supper and then rest to prepare for the next day.
Day 9,10: Tour the Kampala city
On this day, you will wake up , prepare yourselves ,grab yourself a cup of tea and then you will have a tour in Kampala city for the whole day where by you will tour all the museums , the Baha’i temple, the Gadhafi mosque , the kasubi royal tombs ,the kabakas palace .This will be for the first session , you will then have lunch in one of the hotels in Kampala , relax and then head back to see other attractions .You will get to see st Mary’s Cathedral rubaga ,Uganda museum and so many others .You will the drive back to the lodge refresh up , have dinner and then relax for the next day .
On this 10th day, you will have to wake up early in the morning, have your cup of coffee and then visit the lakes around Kampala such as the kabakas lake, kajjansi manmade lake and national water reservoir. From there you will have your lunch and then relax to prepare for tomorrow.
Day 11: Travel to Kibale national park.
You will wake up very early, prepare your selves , grab yourself a cup of tea and then set off to kibale national park .This will take you over 6 hours to reach the park .Along the way , you will get to see a number of animals such as the baboons , monkeys in the tress and some other bird species You will have a stopover in fort portal town and have lunch. Continue to your lodge where you will check-in for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Chimpanzee trekking and afternoon Bigodi nature walk.
On this day ,you will wake up very early in the morning ,shower up , grab yourself a cup of tea and then you will set off for your journey to the jungle for the trekking .The trekking will begin with a brief briefing at the park headquarters with your trained tour guide who will give you the rules and the regulations of trekking the chimpanzees .After knowing all the above , you will be asked to go with a bottle of water to help you through the trekking .You will then enter into the jungle start looking for the chimpanzee family .These are not easy to find because they graze from far into the jungle .Therefore you will be helped by your ranger guide to tress the primates following there foot prints when they were going to graze .Once you get the chimpanzees , you are allowed to stay with them for over one hour having fun with them and taking the photos .From there , you will have to go back to the lodge and have lunch ,then relax for some time to prepare for an evening nature walk in the bigodi community where you will meet the local people and get to know what they do to earn a leaving .The women practice weaving of baskets and this helps them to earn money, you will also get to see other animal species such as the African buffalos , the bush pigs , giant forest hogs to mention but a few .From there , you will head back to the lodge ,refresh , have dinner and then rest to prepare for the next day .
Day 13: Travel to Bwindi impenetrable national park.
After and early early morning breakfast, embark on your journey to the Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, home to half of the worlds mountain gorillas. the journey will last between 6-7 hours, and you will therefore have your lunch enroute. The drive is very scenic as you get to see the beautiful landscapes of south western Uganda. Upon arrival, check-in to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 14: Gorilla trekking and Batwa Community walk
On this day, you will wake up very early in the morning, have your breakfast, and then set off to the jungle to start trekking. You will head to the park headquarters and first have a briefing with your trained tour guide who will give you a briefing on how to trek the gorillas such as do not the mimic the gorillas ,do not feed them , avoid feeding the gorillas once you reach next to them and so many others .Having known all the above rules , you will enter into the jungle and start looking for the gorilla families . These are very difficult to find because they graze from very far .Therefore you are helped by your ranger guide to take you through the jungle following the foot prints till you find them .Once you find these gorilla families , you are allowed to stay with them for over one hour having un and taking photos .You will then go back to the lodge , have lunch and then relax to prepare for an evening community walk. Later transfer to Lake Bunyonyi one of the most beautiful lakes dotted with several islands.
Day 15: End of trip then depart
You will wake up with the rising sun. Have breakfast in the lawns and seal your mountain gorilla safari with a brief exciting boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi. Enjoy the serenity of the lake with cool breezes soothing your skin. Be alert for several attractive bird species on the lake and pay extra attention to guide’s moving stories. You will get to the hotel and check out by 11.00 for a journey with surprise after each adventure surprise to Kampala, Uganda.
