Sipi Falls

The sipi falls is a water falls that is located in the Eastern part of Uganda in Kapchorwa district at the foot hills of Mount Elgon and at the edge of mount Elgon national park. lies three beautiful cascading waterfalls. 

These Sipi falls were given their names after the Sep. This was a medicinal wild banana tree indigenous to northern Uganda. 

The Sipi falls were situated at an altitude of 1,775 m. They range from 65 to 100 m high.

Wake up one day and have your self a hike on these beautiful Sipi falls which will take you through the local communities to have a glance on the farm land, which is located over the rocky foothills. Here you will get a chance to see the three falls. 

In case you would like to have a safari on the three falls, you are required to be physically fit. This is because the journey contains a round trip which will take you over 3 hours to reach the falls. This seems quite challenging but enjoyable at the same time.

On the other hand, for those who can not hike, are provided with aa trail which only costs 20 minutes to reach the falls and that is from the Sipi town.

Aruu Falls

Aruu falls is located in the Northern part of Uganda in Gulu Kitgum highway. This is the more lesser and known water falls that are also less visited by people. However, it is a nice place where one should have a stop over to experience an adventure experience incase you are heading to kidepo valley national park and Murchison falls national park. 

Along your way to Aruu falls which  are just 4 and 1/2 kilometers from the Pader kit gum , you will have a stop over to  have an  enroute  picnic lunch adventure experience. Spend some good time here as  you are having fun, swimming, rock climbing and a nature walk around the community.

NOTE; Be aware of the sliding   and slippery rocks so that you be careful and avoid accidents.

Itanda Falls

These are falls located in the east Africa’s adrenaline capital, jinja, and they have got a beautiful stunning site with very many ripples which are compared to the Bujagali falls.

More so, these falls are located on the falls which were normally known as the rippon falls that were considered to be the source of the Nile which is the longest river in Africa.

Alternatively, apart from having a glance on the Itanda falls, one can also do activities such as white-water rafting, kayaking, river surfing, fishing, bungee jumping and so on. 

It is known that the Itanda falls are the that replaced the Bujagali falls which were the main water rafting rapids after the construction of the hydroelectric dam on the Owen falls dam.

Kisiizi Fall

Kisiizi falls are falls situated in Rukungiri district. These falls lie between Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. While on your safari, this is the best place where you should have a stop over to have a picnic adventure experienceYou will take, have fun and so on. 

These falls get their waters from the Kyabamba river plunges which is over off 27 meters high on the cliff into the gorge. These water falls are  so strong with a dramatic sound  that can be heard by most clients who are on a far distance  of over 100 meters from the falls. 

Alternatively, while on these falls, one can also do other activities such as the zip lining, birdwatching, nature walks and crossing the new suspension bridge.

Other Falls in Uganda

Apart from all the above-mentioned falls in Uganda, Uganda has also got other falls and these include the Mahoma Falls and the Nyamiska Falls. All these falls have got many hiking trails in the crater lakes region near Fort Portal.

Alternatively, there are also the Wanale falls which are located just 6km from Mbale town. This is a very small stream of water that pours water from a distance of over 2000m.
