1 Day Jinja Water Rafting: Detailed Itinerary

 Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Jinja

After a leisurely break fast, you will immediately leave Kampala for Jinja which is usually a 2 hour drive. The departure time from Kampala should be no later than 7:00am. Traveling along the Jinja-Kampala highway. Before entering Mabira, the largest natural forest in Central Uganda that stretches several miles along the Kampala-Jinja highway, you will pass through Lugazi, an area with many sugarcane farms.

Upon your arrival, the rafting team will meet you in Jinja, where you can attend a briefing. From there, you will drive to the starting place and participate in a quick exercise to get you accustomed to the rafting experience. Select between the grade 3 or grade 5 rapids, then start your trip. A refreshing bottle of Nile unique beer is always enjoyed at the conclusion of a 1- to 3-hour-long Nile River rafting trip.
Following a lunch break, your driver will be waiting to take you back to Kampala where you will have a stop over in the Mabira forest on the way back so that you can take a look at the birds since this forest is a home to many birds and some primates, arriving in the evening. This option is usually given to the bird lovers. Drop you at your accommodation in Kampala or the Entebbe Airport in preparation for your subsequent flight back to your final destination. This will mark the end of your 1 day Jinja water rafting.
