Day 1: Swakopmund to Etosha National Park, Namibia

Our brief Namibia Camping Safari commences in Swakopmund this morning. Your guide will collect you from designated pre-tour accommodations in Swakopmund at 09:00. We embark on a picturesque journey from Swakopmund to Etosha National Park, traversing the quaint hamlet of Outjo en route.

We reach the main entrance of Etosha, Anderson Gate, and embark on a brief game drive to Okaukuejo Camp. The wildlife expedition commences upon our entry into the park. Numerous sizable creatures are frequently observed on the way to the campsite, including elephants, lions, and antelopes. Upon our arrival at the Okaukuejo campsite, all participants contribute to the establishment of the camp for the evening. Subsequently, after establishing our tents, we will undertake a brief game drive in the late afternoon, contingent upon time availability.

Dusk is an optimal period for observing wildlife, so remain vigilant. In this section of Etosha Park, elephants, rhinoceroses, giraffes, and Africa’s large felines are frequently observed. Additional fauna present in this region comprises zebras, many species of antelopes, and a diverse assortment of avian species. Day 2: Safari at Etosha National Park – Namibia

We traverse the southern periphery of the vast Etosha Pan, allowing you to behold the glistening expanse of this renowned salt pan. Etosha Pan spans more than 4,700 square kilometers (1,815 square miles), rendering it observable from orbit. Remain vigilant for wandering wildlife as we return to Okaukuejo Camp for our second night of camping in Etosha National Park.

We return to camp in time to witness a tranquil sunset over the rugged African bush and observe the Okaukuejo waterhole at its peak activity period. Subsequently, we return to our campground to dine and relax around the campfire.

On the third day of our Namibia Camping Safari, we awaken early to appreciate the untamed landscape of Etosha. Following an early morning coffee, we dismantle the camp and gather our belongings. Subsequently, we embarked on the road once more for a concluding game drive in Etosha National Park. While exiting Etosha, we survey the vegetation for huge beasts and other wildlife. With some fortune, we will observe significant predators and essential species that we may have overlooked till now.

We next proceed south from Etosha Park to Windhoek, with a quick stop in the small town of Okahandja. We visit the renowned wood carvers’ market to see the diverse array of handcrafted works from throughout Namibia. This is an opportunity to purchase artisanal Namibian curios and assist local communities.

The Etosha Safari commences in Swakopmund every Saturday and concludes in Windhoek on Monday afternoons.
We recommend arriving in Swakopmund the day prior to the departure of this Etosha Safari. We advise against scheduling departure flights on the third day, suggesting a minimum overnight stay in Windhoek following the conclusion of the safari.
