Detailed itinerary:

Day 1: Windhoek to Etosha National Park – Namibia

On the initial morning of this brief Private Etosha Safari, you will be picked up from your pre-tour lodging in Windhoek. Departing from the capital of Namibia, your experienced safari guide transports you northward to Etosha National Park. Etosha, a premier safari destination in Africa, is a vast national park encompassing approximately 22,270 km² in northern Namibia.

This afternoon, you will commence a thrilling 4×4 safari in Etosha. Your knowledgeable guide leads you in pursuit of the diverse wildlife and avifauna of Etosha, Namibia’s foremost game reserve. During the journey, you will pause at waterholes frequented by wildlife and learn about the species and habitats of Etosha from your individual guide. Etosha hosts numerous large creatures, including four of the Big Five: lion, leopard, rhinoceros, and elephant. Safari fauna encompasses cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, various antelopes, and more than 340 avian species.

Your game drive concludes at a rest camp within Etosha, where we will overnight. We partake in a braai (barbecue) beside the campfire. This evening, following dinner, you may observe nocturnal wildlife at the illuminated waterhole in the camp.

Day 2: Etosha National Park, Namibia

A complete day of wildlife excursions in Etosha Park is forthcoming! We rise early to venture into the wilderness while the fauna and avifauna are at their peak activity. Our 4×4 safari traverses northeast through the park, alongside the southern periphery of Etosha Pan, known as the “Great White Place”. During the midday heat, mirages emerge over the glistening pans, prompting us to pause for lunch at one of the campgrounds.

On our way to the next overnight camp, we pause at drinking holes to observe the wildlife and avian species that congregate at these vital oasis. Remain vigilant for wildlife as the temperature decreases, prompting increased activity among animals and birds.

Day 3: Etosha National Park to Windhoek – Namibia

On our final morning, we embark on a brief game drive while departing Etosha Park, providing a final opportunity to observe the wildlife and avifauna of the African wilderness. On the way to Windhoek, we pause at Okahandja to see the renowned craft market of the town. Upon returning to Windhoek this afternoon, your guide will transport you to the airport or your post-tour lodging, thereby concluding your Private Namibia Safari.

Transport for this Private Etosha Safari is provided in a 4×4 safari vehicle. A Toyota Hilux is utilized for short trips accommodating 2 passengers, while a Toyota Landcruiser with a pop-up cover is employed for parties of 4-6 guests. The Toyota Landcruiser vehicles, accommodating 4-6 persons, have been specifically engineered and tailored for Namibia’s rugged terrain. The vans are equipped with six comfy seats, guaranteeing a window seat for each visitor. Expansive sliding windows offer superior vistas for wildlife photography and appreciating the landscape. A bar refrigerator is available onboard to maintain beverage temperature, along with electrical outlets for battery charges.

Culinary Experiences on Safari in Etosha
This Namibia Safari encompasses all breakfasts throughout the journey, in accordance with the program. Meals, including lunches and dinners, are excluded from the tour cost. All meals not specified in the schedule as included will be at your own expense. You may purchase a lunch pack from the lodges where we are accommodated, or your guide will escort you to a deli, bakery, or shop at one of the rest camps to procure lunch. A budget of approximately N$300 per individual should be adequate for the self-funded dinners in Etosha.

Namibia possesses a robust tourism infrastructure and generally high service standards, offering numerous quality options. All lodgings on this tour offer clean, uncomplicated, yet comfortable lodging in twin, double, or single rooms with en suite facilities.

If a designated rest camp on the itinerary is unavailable, accommodation of comparable quality will be provided at an alternative rest camp or resort in proximity to the national park. While attempts are made to utilize substitute lodging of like standards inside the park, it may occasionally be required to employ accommodation of superior standards (at a nominal additional expense) when availability is constrained.
