Day 1: Johannesburg to Tented Camp adjacent to Kruger National Park – South Africa

Our exhilarating budget The 3-Day Kruger Camping Safari in South Africa begins with a morning departure from OR Tambo International Airport. We navigate the captivating terrains of Mpumalanga’s Highveld and Lowveld, arriving at our tented camp at approximately 14:00.

Following a brief refreshment break, we embark on an exhilarating afternoon twilight wildlife drive in an open safari vehicle within the Blue Canyon Conservancy and Moditlo Nature Reserve.

The private Moditlo Game Reserve is a component of the broader Blue Canyon Conservancy. This wilderness area offers remarkable wildlife experiences across several landscapes, including bushveld plains and riverine regions. The Blue Canyon Conservancy and Modlito Private Game Reserve host the renowned Big 5 (lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes) together with other intriguing species such as cheetahs, hyenas, and giraffes.

We pause for sundowners in the bush as twilight approaches before returning to our tented camp near Kruger. Convene around the boma fire for an unforgettable evening of stargazing and exchanging narratives of the day’s exploits while enjoying a sumptuous dinner.

Day 2: Safari in Kruger National Park – South Africa

On the second day of our Kruger Camping Safari, we will dedicate a whole day to touring the official Kruger National Park, South Africa’s premier safari location.

Our program provides two alternatives: an early departure to Kruger National Park with a bush breakfast en route and an earlier return to camp, or a later start with breakfast at the camp and a subsequent later return. Departure hours will be sent the preceding evening and modified to enhance your opportunities for wildlife encounters. The Kruger safari, conducted by skilled guides, will last roughly 7 to 8 hours, concentrating on the Orpen-Satara region renowned for its regular lion sightings. After our safari in Kruger, we return to our tented camp adjacent to Kruger for relaxation and another spectacular starlit dinner by the fire.

Day 3: Greater Kruger to Johannesburg, South Africa

This morning, our 3-Day Kruger Camping Safari concludes following breakfast at our tented camp near Kruger. It is then time to part ways and proceed to OR Tambo International Airport, arriving in Johannesburg at approximately 17:00 or 18:00.

While no activities are scheduled for today, optional supplementary activities may be pre-booked to enrich the final day of your Kruger Camping Safari in South Africa.

A little bush stroll in the adjacent Motlala Conservancy before to breakfast
A three-hour morning game drive in the Blue Canyon Conservancy

Tented Camp Adjacent to Kruger National Park
Our three-day Kruger Camping Safaris accommodate guests at a fully-equipped tented camp adjacent to Kruger National Park. The safari camp offers breathtaking vistas of the Drakensberg mountain range, featuring well-appointed tented lodgings with en-suite bathrooms and facilities including complimentary Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a café. The tented camp includes a serene garden with a welcoming outdoor pool.

Encircled by the pristine nature, the tented camp provides an economical glamping experience, complete with all the conveniences. Visitors can view wildlife, such as leopards, hyenas, and buffaloes, flourishing in their natural environment from the camp’s luxury.

Concerning the Blue Canyon Conservancy and Moditlo Private Game Reserve
The Blue Canyon Conservancy, situated adjacent to the renowned Greater Kruger National Park, is a vast area of safeguarded territory rich in a diverse array of flora and fauna. The Moditlo Nature Reserve spans 3,200 hectares inside the 12,000-hectare Blue Canyon Conservancy. During our Kruger Camping Safari, we will investigate Blue Canyon Conservancy, Moditlo Game Reserve, and Kruger National Park.

Located in the foothills of the renowned Drakensberg mountains, about 12 kilometres from Hoedspruit in the Limpopo province, it lies in the Valley of the Olifants, approximately 30 kilometres from Kruger National Park, characterized by numerous lakes and a rich diversity of species. Although it is included in the Greater Kruger biosphere, it borders the Kapama Game Reserve to the east and the Drakensberg Mountains to the west, while remaining separate from the Greater Kruger National Park. Moditlo Private Game Reserve, located within the Blue Canyon Conservancy, is renowned for holding the classic Big 5 – lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffaloes – and also harbors other intriguing animals, including cheetahs, giraffes, hyenas, as well as uncommon wild dogs and brown hyenas.
