Day 1: Johannesburg to Greater Kruger National Park – South Africa
The Kruger Walking Safari commences at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg at 07:00. The shuttle proceeds north to Pretoria, where further passengers are gathered at 07:30. We journey northeast from Pretoria to Greater Kruger Park and our safari lodge in Klaserie Private Game Reserve.

Our picturesque route traverses the Waterberg Biosphere Reserve, descends the Magoebaskloof Mountains, and proceeds to the Kruger Lowveld region. We arrive at the Timbavati Gate Bush Pub & Inn between 13:15 and 13:45, located near the entrance of the Timbavati Private Game Reserve. A driver from the safari lodge will pick you and transport you to the lodge within Klaserie Game Reserve.

This afternoon, we commence our inaugural game drive in the private reserve of Greater Kruger Park. Our game drive brings us nearer to the wildlife in Klaserie, where the animals are accustomed to the presence of safari vehicles. We typically approach the large animals within 5 to 10 meters from the security of our 4×4 Toyota Landcruiser.

In the evening, we partake in dinner beneath the stars at the safari lodge, subsequently engaging in an exhilarating night wildlife drive in Greater Kruger.

Day 2: Greater Kruger Safari – South Africa
The second day of our Kruger Walking Safari commences early with morning coffee and a small breakfast. At approximately 6:00 AM, we commenced our inaugural game walk or game viewing drive in the wilderness. Following our exhilarating bush trek, we return to the safari camp for a respite and brunch at approximately 9:00 AM.

In the afternoon, we convene for tea and a light supper provided at the bush camp. At approximately 16:00, we embark on an afternoon game drive in Greater Kruger Park, pausing for sundowners in the wilderness. The wildlife drive extends into the evening, transforming into a night drive on the return to the safari lodge. The open 4×4 safari vehicles facilitate 360-degree visibility, offering superb photographic and videographic prospects.

Nocturnal drives provide the opportunity to observe active wildlife, especially leopards. With a stroke of luck, you may observe certain animals, like as lions and leopards, hunting during the nocturnal hours. Intense spotlights are employed to locate nighttime fauna during game drives. The diverse array of wild species rarely observed during daylight includes hyenas, aardvarks, bat-eared foxes, porcupines, bush baby, bushbucks, mongooses, genets, and nocturnal avians, such as owls and nightjars.

Upon returning from our exhilarating night game drive, we recount our experiences from the day in the bush while enjoying drinks at the camp bar. Dinner is served at 8:00 PM, followed by an evening of leisure, featuring beverages, tea, or coffee around the campfire.

Strolling at Klaserie Game Reserve
This distinctive Kruger Safari provides extended morning bush hikes lasting between two to four hours, contingent upon fitness levels. Every Kruger Walking Safari commences with an extensive demonstration on appropriate conduct when seeing wildlife in the bush.

Expert rangers conduct our Walking Safaris in Greater Kruger, imparting their expertise on animal tracks, flora, and the ecology of the wilderness region. The rangers have received rigorous training focused on methods for approaching and responding to hazardous wildlife.

Bush hikes provide the excitement of encountering larger species while also allowing for an exploration of the smaller fauna and intricate features of the African bush. Our game rangers will identify animal tracks and notable characteristics of the bush while elucidating the nocturnal behaviors of animals. Strolling around the wildlife park provides an authentic experience of the African bush, allowing one to engage with the aromas and sounds of the wild.

Traversing Klaserie on foot allows for an intimate examination of the intricate elements of the bush that sometimes elude observation during game drives, affording an opportunity to genuinely appreciate nature. The Kruger Walking Safari provides an unparalleled wildlife experience of a lifetime.

Day 3: Greater Kruger to Johannesburg, South Africa
