Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara – Kenya
We depart from Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, and drive down the escarpment through the picturesque Great Rift Valley. We arrive at our opulent tented camp, situated in a private conservancy adjacent to Masai Mara, in time for lunch.
This afternoon, we will investigate the Masai Mara National Reserve during our inaugural game drive, seeing the offerings of this renowned Kenyan wildlife area.
We reside in opulent safari tents with views of picturesque hills, a river, and the adjacent wildness of southern Kenya. During the night, one may hear the noises of wildlife attracted to the river or traversing the Masai Mara Conservancy.
Days 2 and 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya
The latter two days of our Masai Mara Kenya Safari are designated for animal observation in Kenya’s premier wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve.
Our morning and afternoon game drives seek Africa’s Big Five and the multitude of other animals residing in this expansive Kenyan game reserve. On clear days, the Masai Mara presents stunning orange-hued sunsets that are highly photogenic. The Masai Mara Game Reserve encompasses 1510 km² of expansive vistas and lush riverine woodlands along the winding courses of the Mara and Talek rivers in Kenya. A single glance suffices to elucidate its allure; it is a quintessential open savannah, teeming with remarkable species.
In the expansive Masai Mara, one may observe a plethora of species, including Masai giraffes, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyenas, topis, impalas, hartebeests, and wildebeests. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and hippopotamuses are all present in substantial quantities. Lions are frequently observed basking post-feeding or scanning the savannah for their subsequent prey. Cheetahs and leopards are more elusive yet rather prevalent.
The primary event is undoubtedly the yearly wildebeest migration, known as the Great Migration, occurring in July and August when millions of large herbivores migrate north from the Serengeti in pursuit of more abundant pasture before returning south in October.
Hot-air balloon excursions provide an exceptional perspective of the wildlife-rich savannah grasslands. These Masai Mara balloon excursions can be organized for an additional fee. Cultural tours are available for an additional fee for individuals interested in experiencing local Maasai culture.
We remain at the same opulent tented camp within a private conservancy adjacent to Masai Mara National Reserve on the second and third days.
Day 4: Masai Mara to Nairobi, Kenya

Explanation of the Great Migration of Wildebeest
Be advised that the Wildebeest Great Migration occurs seasonally. As a natural wildlife occurrence, it is dynamic and erratic. Consequently, witnessing the Great Migration cannot be assured.
The wildebeest and other wild herbivores migrate between the Masai Mara in Kenya and the Serengeti in Tanzania. These herds traverse an extensive circular path of approximately 1200 miles (1931 kilometers). It is a perpetual migration of wildlife observable in various regions at distinct periods throughout the year. At some intervals of this annual migration, the animals either disperse or decelerate, whilst at other times, the migration accelerates, resulting in larger and denser herds. The Wildebeest Great Migration not only differs by location and season but also fluctuates annually in the travel of these substantial animal herds.
