DAY 2: Swakopmund to Lodge in Sesriem, Namibia
The day commences with breakfast followed by leisure time to partake in optional adventure activities in Swakopmund, the adventure capital of Namibia.
Swakopmund offers a combo tour of sandboarding and quad biking on the coastal dune areas.
The Namibia Safari Adventure to Swakopmund and Sossusvlei commences from Swakopmund between 11:00 and 12:00 noon.
We travel to our lodge at Sesriem through the Namib Desert, utilizing the Kuiseb Pass, Gaub Pass, and Solitaire. A light repast will be provided during the journey.
In the late afternoon, we arrive at our safari camp near Sesriem, allowing us time to unwind and appreciate the picturesque surroundings.
Upon settling up, we embark on a brief stroll to the Naukluft mountain range to witness a magnificent African sunset over the Namib Desert.

DAY 3: Accommodation near Sesriem, Namib Naukluft Park – Namibia
We depart from camp at early, reaching the Namib Naukluft Park gate as the sun ascends.
Our journey leads us down a historic riverbed flanked by the towering dunes of the Namib Desert en route to the 2×4 parking area, approximately 55 kilometers away. We will board a 4×4 shuttle to the Sossusvlei Dunes area to appreciate the stunning orange-red sand dunes illuminated by the warm early morning light.
The Sossusvlei Dunes in Namibia are among the tallest dunes globally, and traversing this desert landscape allows us to encounter the serene peace and isolation of this unique environment.
We traverse the distinctive Sossusvlei region on foot prior to venturing into the desolate Dead Vlei. This extensive area of desiccated, flat clay is fissured and interspersed with skeletal thorn trees, creating a stark contrast with the massive, vividly colored dunes in the backdrop.
From Dead Vlei, we can either walk or take the 4×4 shuttle back to our safari vehicle.
On our return to the overnight lodging at Sesriem, we pause at the renowned Dune 45. We ascend the illustrious sand dune or investigate the vicinity at the base, contingent upon your preference. Subsequently, we return to Sesriem, stopping at the adjacent Sesriem Canyon, one of the rare permanent water sources in the Namib.
Following our visit to Sesriem Canyon, we return to our safari lodge, arriving in the late afternoon to see a breathtaking sunset over the desert.
Our overnight accommodations consist of twin-share rooms or permanent tents equipped with en-suite toilets. Your safari guide will make dinner at the camp. (BLD)
