Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Kibale National Park – Uganda
The 4-Day Uganda Gorilla Trekking Tour commences in Kampala, the capital of Uganda.
Departing from Kampala, we traverse the lush jungles and papyrus swamps of the Nile Delta. We take a lunch break while traveling to Kibale National Park, adjacent to the majestic Ruwenzori Mountains, referred to as the Mountains of the Moon. In the afternoon, we commence a guided excursion in the national park, investigating the crater lakes region and engaging with the local culture.
This evening, we will dine and reside close Kibale National Park.

Day 2: Kibale Chimpanzee Trek and Bwindi Forest – Uganda
The second day of our Uganda Gorilla Safari commences with breakfast. Subsequently, we will engage in chimpanzee tracking throughout Kibale National Park, which is inhabited by approximately 500 chimpanzees. Prior to entering the jungle, we receive a briefing on the trekking protocols. During the jungle journey, the guide provides insights into chimpanzees, other primates, and the surrounding flora and wildlife, resulting in an engaging experience.
Kibale Park’s lush woods are the premier locations for observing chimpanzees in Africa. Chimpanzees are frequently observed consuming fig tree fruits in the game area and have been acclimated to human presence since 1992. Kibale National Park spans 795 km² and mostly comprises an extensive expanse of equatorial rainforest. This national park hosts a multitude of forest wildlife species, featuring one of the largest densities of primates globally. The 13 primate species comprise the uncommon I’Hoest’s monkeys, black-and-white colobus, Uganda red colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and bush babies.
In the afternoon, we proceed south to Queen Elizabeth National Park, observing the scenery and searching for the indigenous wildlife during our journey.
Our forthcoming destination is Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which houses the endangered African Mountain Gorillas, as well as a diverse array of wildlife, insects, and flora. The inhabitants comprise several additional primate species, including the blue and red-tailed monkeys.
This evening, we will unwind and dine in proximity to Bwindi National Park.

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda
On the third day, we partake in an early breakfast prior to our 8:00 am appointment with the rangers from the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA). We commenced our African Mountain Gorilla Trekking expedition at the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
Gorilla trekking is the pinnacle of visiting Uganda and one of the most unforgettable animal encounters in Africa. We will observe the critically endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat during this unique wildlife experience. The guides navigate the wilderness, traversing the underbrush to locate the Bwindi gorillas. This gorilla trek may last up to 6 hours, necessitating a considerable level of fitness and durable walking shoes. Bring a rain jacket, drink, and snacks, but ensure that nothing is left behind in the forest.
Following our fulfilling expedition in the jungle, we repose in the bush amidst the tranquil mountain gorillas, observing their communication and interactions. Behold the immense stature of the dominating adult male gorillas, known as Silverbacks, while experiencing one of Africa’s most profound animal experiences. Following lunch in the forest, we may indulge in a well-deserved respite or partake in birdwatching. Subsequently, we return to our secluded lodge to unwind and recover following our memorable gorilla expedition in Uganda’s Bwindi Forest.
In the afternoon, we embark on a guided walk in Buhoma Village to obtain insight into the lives of the local inhabitants residing near the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This walk is an element of a program that enables the local populace to gain advantages from tourism. The educational village stroll commences at our lodging and enables tourists to observe the resourcefulness of the local populace in their daily activities.
Ultimately, we dine and relax at our lodging.

Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to Kampala and Entebbe – Uganda
On the last day of our Uganda Gorilla Trekking Tour, we partake in an early breakfast before to our return to Kampala and subsequently Entebbe.
We journey through Mbarara and the Igongo Cultural Village, where we meet the Ankole and Bahima communities. At the Igongo Center, we gain insight into the culture and traditions of the Ugandan people, acquiring knowledge about their past. We partake in lunch while traveling and stop at the equator in Uganda to capture shots before proceeding to Kampala and Entebbe. Complimentary airport drop-off can be organized if you are departing on the final day of the safari.
