Itinerary for this Tour

Day 1: Johannesburg – South Africa

Our 16-day Experience Southern Africa Safari begins in Johannesburg with a tour briefing in the evening. You’ll have time to explore the city before meeting fellow travellers and getting ready for the adventure ahead. Johannesburg, known as the City of Gold, offers a vibrant mix of cultures and history.

Days 2 & 3: Kruger National Park – South Africa

On day two, we drive to Kruger National Park, home to Africa’s Big Five. Our game drives through this world-renowned park offer chances to spot lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and buffaloes, as well as an abundance of other wildlife. Enjoy early morning and evening game drives, including a thrilling night drive.

Day 4: Greater Kruger National Park & Black Mambas HQ – South Africa

Today we visit the Black Mambas Anti-Poaching Unit, where we will join these remarkable women on a bush walk and learn about their conservation efforts to protect wildlife in the Greater Kruger region. The night is spent camping at the Black Mambas’ headquarters, with a special dinner under the stars.

Day 5: Moremi Gorge – Botswana

We cross into Botswana, heading to the beautiful Moremi Gorge, a national heritage site surrounded by stunning gorges and waterfalls. You can enjoy a guided hike through this wildlife haven, where you’ll encounter birdlife and possibly leopards and hyenas.

Day 6: Nata – Botswana

On day six, we travel to Nata and camp near the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, one of the largest salt pans in the world. A guided open vehicle drive across the pans allows you to witness the vastness and beauty of this unique landscape, home to migratory birds and wild animals.

Days 7 & 8: Victoria Falls – Zimbabwe

We head to the famous Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Explore this natural wonder, also known as “The Smoke that Thunders,” and enjoy the spectacular sight of the Zambezi River cascading down the cliffs. Optional activities such as bungee jumping, white-water rafting, and helicopter flights over the falls are available.

Day 9: Chobe National Park – Botswana

Next, we visit Chobe National Park, renowned for its elephant populations. Take a boat cruise along the Chobe River for the chance to see elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and more. The park is famous for its rich game and birdlife.

Day 10: Maun – Botswana

We continue to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. This vibrant town is where we prepare for our delta adventure. Enjoy an optional sunrise game drive or relax and explore the area.

Days 11 – 12: Okavango Delta & Maun – Botswana

The next two days are spent exploring the breathtaking Okavango Delta. Glide through the waterways in traditional mokoro canoes, guided by local experts. Enjoy bush walks, encounter diverse wildlife, and camp on a secluded island in the delta for an unforgettable wilderness experience.

Day 13: Delta to Maun – Botswana

After a final mokoro trip, we return to Maun and settle in for the night. Optional scenic flights over the delta are available for those wanting to see the landscape from the air.

Day 14: Khama Rhino Sanctuary – Botswana

On the final day, we drive to the Khama Rhino Sanctuary, dedicated to protecting rhinos. Enjoy a game drive through the sanctuary and spot rhinos, zebras, giraffes, and other wildlife before concluding this extraordinary Southern Africa safari.
