Join this small-group gorilla trek from Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Fixed dates, a maximum of six travelers, and an $800 gorilla permit included in the price. A $100 deposit holds your place.
Day 1 — 1 January 2027: Kigali to Bwindi
Your driver-guide picks you up from Kigali International Airport or your Kigali hotel for the scenic drive through Rwanda’s rolling hills and into Uganda, the Pearl of Africa. Cross at Katuna or Cyanika, stop in Kabale or Kisoro, then continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for overnight.

Day 2 — 2 January 2027: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi
After breakfast, walk to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. Family allocation depends on your interests, fitness and age — tell your guide your preference before you enter the forest. The trek can take from 30 minutes to most of the day. You have one hour with the gorillas for photography and observation, then return for your certificate, dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3 — 3 January 2027: Return to Kigali
After breakfast, drive back to Kigali for your hotel drop-off or airport transfer, marking the end of the safari. An optional Kigali city tour, including the Genocide Memorial, is available if you have a late flight.
