Ololo Safari Lodge - Overview
Introduction to Ololo Safari Lodge
Nairobi, Kenya
Ololo Safari Lodge is nestled within eight hectares / 20 acres of vibrant, flourishing gardens at the edge of Nairobi National Park – the only park in the world that shares a boundary with a capital city. Situated just 45 minutes from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, it offers seamless access through the national park. Your journey begins the moment you arrive in Kenya, as you can be whisked away from the airport directly to the lodge, diving into the excitement of your safari right from day one.
Ololo was originally built as a traditional family farmhouse but has been beautifully transformed into a lodge that highlights classic African style and warmth, radiating a welcoming atmosphere. It effortlessly merges the timeless essence of safari life with the indulgence and ease of a high-end hotel experience.
Experience breathtaking vistas of Nairobi National Park from the expansive verandas of the lodge. The surrounding gardens offer refuge to numerous bird species within the national park, and from Ololo’s main terrace, you can often catch glimpses of four members of the Big 5 (though elephants are absent here).
Accessing Nairobi National Park is a breeze with the lodge’s private footbridge spanning the Mbagathi River, or through exhilarating morning and afternoon game drives. Ololo Safari Lodge embraces a laid-back and inviting atmosphere, complemented by their amazing meals crafted from fresh produce sourced from its own ‘shambas’ (vegetable gardens).
