This 2 days camping safari starts and ends in Kampala. This 1 night and 2 days camping safari in Uganda, will offer you amazing game watching experience to see the four of the big five game in Queen Elizabeth National Park one of the most visited and popular park in Uganda with best scenery viewing and fascinating boat cruise safari in Kazinga channel as well as a stop over at the equator line crossing Kayabwe where the main latitude divides the globe in to two hemispheres, the North and south.
While in queen Elizabeth, you will go on fascinating 3-4 hours morning game drive I the park where you will view several game species. The too is a home to about 610 bird species and 95 mammal species. Animals’ sightings include; the lion, leopards, buffalos, elephants, Hippos, Uganda Kobs, hyenas, Topis, waterbucks, warthogs, giant forest hogs among others.
As well as a thrilling boat cruise experience on Kazinga channel which hosts some of the words sprawling concentration of hippos, crocodiles and wide array of bird species.

2 Days Uganda Wildlife Camping Safari: Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth, afternoon Kazinga boat cruise and evening game drive.

Your driver guide will pick you up from the hotel or at your preferred pick-up point by 6:30 am after the morning breakfast. You will start the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The distance covered is about 417km which is about 7 hours’ drive via southwest of Uganda.
From Kampala, the drive takes you west driving past the equator crossing, Igongo Cultural center and Bunyaruguru Crater before arriving at Queen Elizabeth National Park with cascading views of the Rwenzori Mountains. You have lunch in Mbarara town. Embark on journey arriving the park in the afternoon, you will go on 2:00pm boat cruise in Kazinga channel which flows between lake George and Lake Edward. The kazinga channel boosts with the highest concentration of hippos, crocodiles and several water bird species. Like the Yellow-bellied and Saddle-billed Storks, African Open-bellied, Thick-knee and Pelicans among others.
The boat cruise offers excellent opportunities for photography. You will retreat from the boat cruise and then proceed with the evening game drive along the channel track to explore the wild game in the evening. Evening offers excellent opportunities to view nocturnal and predators among others. After, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning game drive and departure.

Wake up early for morning breakfast and set out in the ark by 7:00am for morning game drive along the Kasenyi plains which offers rewarding wildlife viewing experience with lots of wildlife spotted here including the lions, hippos, leopard, buffalos, giant forest hogs, especially morning hours when the animals come out to grass and predators getting ready to hunt for prey.
Although mammals are the major attractions in the park, birding in queen Elizabeth is excellent with over 600 bird species recorded here. Exit the park and start your return journey back to Kampala. You will have lunch enroute and continue with the journey with another stopover at the equator for photoshoot and relaxation and also visit some craft shops around the area and purchase some products you like. Continue with the journey arriving Kampala in the evening, the driver will drop you at the airport in time for your departure flight back home.
