2 Days Ziwa Rhino Tracking Tour: Detailed Itinerary

 Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

The driver will pick you up in the morning from the hotel after your morning breakfast for transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, he will brief you about the 2 days safari as you start your journey driving through the famous Luwero triangle. On arrival, you will check in to Amuka lodge for relaxation and lunch.

In the afternoon, go for guided nature walks through the Sanctuary which offers an opportunity to encounter numerous mammals such as Waterbucks, Oribis, Bush duikers, Hartebeest, Ground Squirrels, Mongoose, Grey Duiker, Reedbuck and Bush Bucks, some primates such as vervet monkeys, reptiles like the large African rock Pythons, Lizards, and numerous insect species that will give you the incredible taste of the Uganda’s wilderness Safari. Later evening, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Rhino Tracking and Departure

Wake up and have morning breakfast and thereafter, head to the Ziwa offices where you will meet the park ranges for briefing on the guidelines to follow during rhinos tracking then setoff for rhino tracking experience. During the activity, you will have close encounter with the Rhinos in their Natural habitat. The activity will last for about 2-3 hours. You will also see some bird species during the trek. Return to the lodge for lunch and brief rest. And after, set out and drive back to Kampala with enroute stopover at the equator for some photoshoot and experiments.

On arrival, the driver will drop you off at the hotel or at your preferred location.

Getting There

The trip will start from Kampala or Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and you will be dropped off at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe international airport after the trip.
