7 Days Luxury Uganda safari: Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Kibale forest National Park
Your driver guide will pick you up early morning at the hotel in Entebbe or Kampala after your morning breakfast. Continue with the journey driving west past Mubende and continue to Fort Portal where you will stop over for lunch. Embark on your journey to Kibale forest arriving in the late afternoon. Check in to the lodge for relaxation from the long drive. Later Dinner and overnight stay.

Destination: Kibale Forest National Park
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and afternoon Bigodi swamp walk
Wake up early and have your breakfast and after, head out to the park headquarters to attend briefing on the dos and don’ts for gorilla trekking. Thereafter, you will be accompanied by the rangers to the starting point of the trek. This can take you half a day. Kibale forest has got other primate species living in the forest which you will therefore encounter some of them during your chimp trek, other primates here include; the golden monkey, L’Hoest monkey, baboons, white and black colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red colobus, blue monkeys and pottos. Other animals include forest elephants unique from the common type, giant forest hogs and a striking tree species. When you have found the chimps, you will be allowed one hour observing them, take photos or record videos. Thereafter, exit the forest and return to the park headquarters and then proceed to lodge for lunch.
Enjoy Lunch and later take a guided nature walk to Bigodi swamp sanctuary, a good site for birders. You will spot several bird species including the Great Blue Turaco and Papyrus Gonolek which are easily marked among the other bird 137 species. There is also an array of butterfly species. Later return for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park and afternoon game drive
Have a relaxed morning breakfast and thereafter, check out of the lodge and drive to Queen Elizabeth national park. On arrival, check in to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. After lunch, you go on afternoon game drive in the park to see some of the animals. Queen Elizabeth national park is a home to four of big five game species among other several animal species that you be able to see during the game drives. In the evening you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Morning game drive and afternoon.
Early morning is best time for game viewing, after your early breakfast, drive to the park for morning game drive best time to catch with the early risers and predators setting out to hunt for prey. The park has got several animal species including the lions, buffalos, elephants, water bucks, giraffes, hippos, warthogs, Uganda Kobs, leopard and several other bird species. Return to the lodge for your late breakfast and lunch as you get ready for the afternoon boat cruise.
After lunch, you will go on afternoon boat cruise for game viewing. Kazinga channel boots with the highest concentration of hippos in the water as well as the Nile crocodiles and water bucks, elephants, antelopes and some bird species seen along the water shores. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Destination: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi via the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park
Have morning breakfast, and thereafter, check out of the lodge and begin your journey to Bwindi driving via the Ishasha sector famous for the tree climbing lions. On a lucky day, you will be able to see them hanging on trees. Do a brief game drive, Ishasha sector is one of the best destinations boosting with the highest number of animals. Thereafter, exit the park and continue to Bwindi with enroute lunch. Arriving in Bwindi in the evening, continue and check in to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Destination: Ishasha Sector
Day 6: Gorilla trekking and afternoon transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
Wake up for breakfast, with your packed lunch, continue to the park headquarters where you will attend briefing from the expert guides on the dos and the don’ts for gorilla trekking, thereafter, you will be divided in groups each accompanied by the ranger guide to begin the trek. Gorilla trekking is strenuous and thus requires physical fitness. Therefore, inform the ranger about your fitness level so that you are assigned gorilla family depending on your ability to hike. After you will begin the trek in the forest. The trek may last for about 30 mins to three quarters of the day. During the trek, you will be able to other primates, bird’s species, trees, colorful butterflies among others. When you have found the gorillas, you will be allowed one hour to observe them, watch them play, feed among other daily activities. Take photos and record videos. After, return to the park headquarters where you will be awarded a certificate of participation in gorilla trekking.
In the afternoon, transfer to lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is one of the deepest and fresh water bodies in Uganda, its Bilharzia free and safe for swimming, on arrival, you check in to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Morning Canoe boat and Departure
Return to the lodge and check out and continue with your journey back to Kampala with enroute lunch. On arrival, the driver guide will drop you off at the airport for your departure flight.
