This 4 Days Gorilla and Queen Elizabeth fly-in safari, Queen Elizabeth national park is second best savannah national parks which the biggest population of game both large, predators and small game. You will first fly to Queen Elizabeth where you will do game drives and kazinga channel boat cruise then transfer to Buhoma sector of Bwindi where you will have your gorilla trekking experience.

4 Days Gorilla and Queen Elizabeth National Park Fly-in Safari: Detailed Itinerary

 Day 1: Fly to Mweya Airstrip, morning game drive and afternoon boat in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The company driver will pick you up at the hotel after morning breakfast and drive to Entebbe Airstrip where you will board the internal flight to Mweya Airstrip in Queen Elizabeth. The Flight sets off at 7:00am and landing by 8:10am in Mweya. On arrival, your driver guide will pick you up and take you on game drive in the park where you will be able to see some animals in the park. Queen Elizabeth is a home to four od the big five game. After, proceed and check into the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will go on boat cruise on Kazinga channel boosting with the highest concentration of hippos also referred as the ‘’school of hippo’’. You will also see the Nile crocodiles and some water birds as well as the elephants, antelopes, warthogs, water bucks, giraffes, among other seen on the water shores.

Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Buhoma sector of Bwindi

Wake up for morning breakfast, check out of the lodge and go on early enough in the park for morning game drive in kasenyi or the Ishasha sector to catch with the early risers and predator hunting their pray, be on the look out for the game that you could have missed during the previous game drive, exit the park and continue to Buhoma sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The drive time takes about 4 hours arriving at the lodge in the afternoon, check in for relaxation as you preparing for activity the following day. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking and Batwa

Wake up early and have morning breakfast with your packed lunch, head to the park headquarters for briefing about the rules and regulations for gorilla trekking. After, you will be divided in groups of 8 members each led by expert ranger to begin the search in the forest. During the trek along the way, you will encounter bird species, colorful butterflies, tree species ad other primate species. Once you have found the Gorillas, you will be allowed one hour to observe the Gorillas as they go about their daily activities, take photos and record videos for your memories. After you will return to the park headquarters where you will be awarded with the certificate of participation in Gorilla trekking. Return to the lodge for brief rest
Later afternoon, you can go on Batwa community visit where you will meet and interact with the locals in the community. While here, you will learn more about the traditions and the culture of the local people. Enjoy other activities like art and craft, you may also like to purchase some souvenirs of your liking and also entailment from the local Batwa women through dances and folk songs.

Day 4: Fly back to Entebbe

Have morning breakfast and thereafter, check out of the lodge and the driver guide will drop you off at the Kihihi Airstrip where you will board the internal flight back to Entebbe Airport for connecting flight back home.

Getting There

The trip will start from Kampala or Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park and you will be dropped off at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe international airport after the trip.
