9 Days Nile perch Fishing safari In Uganda: Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe airport

Upon arrival at the Entebbe international airport, you will be met and greeted by our company representative who will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to hotel where you will check. Depending on your arrival, you may opt for city tour to see some of the interesting attraction in the city. Or you may opt to just relax at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Fishing on Lake Victoria.

Rise up early and have your breakfast and set off from the lodge to Lake Victoria where you will spend a full day fishing experience. You will be in company of expert guides on motorized boats offering a great opportunity of catching lots of fish including the Nile perch (one of the largest fresh water body fishes in the world weighing over 100kg). there is lot more to see beyond fishing such as the beautiful scenery including the Islands, fishermen, water bird’s species among others. After you will return for lunch and later in the afternoon, return for encounters. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park

Have morning breakfast and by 7:30am, your driver guide will pick you up as you start your journey to Murchison falls National Park driving North western region of Kampala or Entebbe to Masindi town where you will have a stop over for lunch then to the park to headquarters which will take about 5 to 6 hours drive. On arrival, you will check in to the lodge and in the afternoon, you will go on game drive to see some of the animals in the park.

Day 4: Fishing on the Victoria Nile from Chobe safari lodge

After breakfast you will embark on the fishing adventure along the Nile River in the company of expert guides to explore the wonders of the historic Nile. Fishing in Chobe dates back to the old days when it stood as a great spot for fishing in East Africa. You will retreat for lunch and thereafter, in the evening, you can undertake another fishing experience on the river ending in the evening where you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Morning game drive from Chobe to Paraa safari Lodge and evening game drive

After breakfast, at around 7:00am, embark on a drive to Paraa area, this is one of the popular gave drive sectors in the park harboring the densest population of animals in the park. While on the game drive, you will view several animals including the Big five (lions, leopards, Elephants, Buffalos), as well as Oribi, The Rothchild giraffes, the Uganda Kob, Jackson’s Hartebeest among others. The park is also haven for birds that you will be able to see during the game drives.
Proceed to Paraa Safari Lodge for lunch and relaxation overlooking the Calm Nile River as it flows to the Delta area. In the evening you will do another game drive for more exciting game viewing. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 6: Fishing at the bottom of Murchison falls

Rise up for morning breakfast and thereafter, you will take on a boat cruise by 7:00am alongside the expert guides to begin the fishing adventure encounter along the Nile upstream. The areas have potential catches of the Nile perch, the catfish and the Tiger fish while here, you may also catch site of the hippos, Nile crocodiles and water birds like the shoe bill one of the sought after bird in East Africa.
You will carry with you a lunch to the bottom of the falls where you will experience yet another exciting fishing experience. This place is best for catching the Nile perch as it keeps following the sequence of the Nile River as it flows through narrow gorge. You will also be able to see the cascading views of the Powerful Murchison falls. After you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Drive to Araa fishing village

After morning breakfast, you will embark a transfer to Adjumani to the North of the park about 4 hours drive. The takes you Northwards with great stunning views of the landscape with great Savannah grass and local home steads.
You will arrive at Araa fishing village in time for lunch. Araa is situated in the calm environment on the Albert arm of the Nile. You will spend the rest of the day relaxing at the lodge or do some simple fishing on the Nile banks. Later in the evening, you will check in to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Whole day fishing in Araa fishing Village Along the Albert Nile

Wake up and have morning breakfast by 7:00a, then embark on a full day fishing along the Albert Nile, following the Nile and other small rivers. Have lunch and continue with the fishing activity in the afternoon. Later evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Drive to Entebbe airport

After morning breakfast, check out and start your return journey back to Entebbe/ Kampala, you will have lunch enroute as you continue to Kampala and on arrival, you will be dropped off at the airport in time for your departure flight.
