Are you looking for an adventurous gravel bike safari in Uganda, look no further, our 10days gravel safari in Uganda, offers you once in life time changing experience as you get to navigate through the Savannah and encounter variety of mammal species. The adventure starts and ends in Uganda. The trip begins with a pickup by our company driver from the airport and drive you to the hotel where you will spend the rest of the evening.
Depending on your time of arrival, you can explore the lively city of Kampala or the beautiful town of Entebbe on bike for a ride around the pretty Lake Victoria area, where you will go on boat trip. After that, we’ll head to Sezibwa Waterfalls for another bike adventure, which people say was shaped by humans over a hundred years ago. We’ll also take a long 6-hour drive to Fort Portal, known for its natural beauty, and do some biking there. We’ll explore Fort Portal more with another bike ride, enjoying beautiful views of the Rwenzori Mountains. Our journey continues to Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its wildlife, where we’ll go on a morning bike ride. You can also enjoy a game drive and a boat ride to see various animals. We’ll bike in Lake Mburo National Park riding through the Zebras, antelopes, impalas among others. Another bike ride is early morning before you exit the park and return to Kampala , with a stop at the Equator. Our adventure ends with a tour of Kampala, visiting places like the Kasubi Tombs, National Museum, Bahai Temple, and craft markets before you head home.

10 Days Gravel Cycling Safari in Uganda: Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kampala

Our first day of the safari begins with arrival in Entebbe international airport where you will be meet and greeted by the company driver guide who will pick you and transfer you to the hotel in Kamapala or Entebbe where you will spend the rest of the evening. Depending on your time of arrival, there lots of attractions to explore both in Kamapala and Entebbe including the Botanical gardens, The reptile village, Wildlife Education center among others. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2: Cycle 50KM Across Lake Victoria

After a tasty morning breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up and drive you to the Beach House Gardens, where your day’s adventure begins. While here, you take on a boat for a short 20 to 30-minute ride on Lake Victoria. This boat trip will transport you to the start of your exciting 50-kilometer bike ride around Lake Victoria peninsula. As you pedal along, you will have the chance to meet the local folks, enjoy the lush and beautiful views, and feel the fresh breezes from the lake all while riding comfortably. This bike ride is only the start of the bigger adventure ahead. After completing the loo, you will return to the start point and the driver will be waiting. The bikes will be loaded onto the Vehicle and then proceed to have your lunch. After lunch, you’ll be driven back to your hotel where you will spend the rest of the evening.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 3: cycle 60km to Sezibwa waterfalls

Rise up early and have morning breakfast. Thereafter, your will come to your hotel to pick you up and drive you to Luzira Port bell, and from there, you’ll have a short boat ride on Lake Victoria, lasting about 30 to 40 minutes. This boat ride will bring you to the starting point of your bike adventure, which is a 60-kilometer ride to Sezibwa Waterfalls. When you have arrived at the falls, your bikes will be put on top of vans, and you can hop in for lunch. After lunch, you’ll be taken back to your hotel. It’s a day of fun exploring and enjoying the beauty of nature.

Destination: Sezibwa Waterfalls

Day 4: Transfer to Fort Portal and Cycle 25km

Wake up early enough and have an early breakfast since we will be having along 6-hour drive to Fort Portal. You make a brief stopover at the equator line crossing at Kayabwe for a snack and a break to rest. Afterward, we’ll continue our journey to Fort Portal. This place is famous for its beautiful natural surroundings and welcoming people. Will be arriving in Fort Portal in time for lunch, have your lunch and after, you will hop on our bikes and ride for about 25 kilometers to reach your accommodation. During this bike ride, you will have the chance to meet and interact with friendly locals, admire scenic lakes, and take in the stunning views of the impressive Rwenzori Mountains. This is an exciting adventure and worth every effort. Upon arrival at the hotel, you will check in and spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 5: Cycle 57km around Fort Portal

Today your will be taking along day of cycling, where you will ride for quite a distance, up to 55 kilometers. This adventure will take you through different parts of Fort Portal, a city famous for its tourism. As you pedal, you will be treated to breathtaking views of the Rwenzori Mountain ranges, which will serve as a majestic backdrop to your journey. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to explore the areas around Fort Portal and even cycle around some of the stunning crater lakes. It’s a day filled with outdoor exploration, scenic beauty, and a chance to connect with nature in a remarkable way.

Day 6: Morning Cycling Covering About 51km And Transfer to Queen Elizabeth

After morning breakfast, you will go on 51km bike ride through beautiful places. You will see pretty lakes formed in old craters and big mountains the Rwenzori Mountains. While riding, you will encounter the locals, interact and get more insight about the local people’s everyday lives. After the bike ride, put your bikes on a van and then drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. It’s a famous place because of its stunning nature and lots of animals. You’ll get to see elephants, Uganda kobs, among other types of antelopes, big buffalos and many more. This part of the journey mixes amazing scenery with cool animal sightings, making it an exciting adventure.

Day 7: Game drive And Boat Safari

Start the day early with morning breakfast and thereafter, hit the park for early game viewing best time to catch up with the early riser like lions, hyenas, and leopards and several others like elephants, playful warthogs, antelopes called Uganda kobs, and big buffalos. The drive goes for about 2 to 3 hours. After that, we will return to the lodge and have lunch and get ready for an afternoon boat ride on the Kazinga Channel. During the boat ride, you can see different kinds of birds, some that come from far away, and also big animals like elephants and buffalos drinking water by the river. Keep an eye out for crocodiles and hippos swimming in the water which is pretty amazing.

Day 8: Transfer To Lake Mburo National Park and Afternoon Ride Of 25km

After morning breakfast, you exit the park and drive to Lakr Mburo National Park a small but awesome place known for its zebras. When we arrive in the park in time for lunch. After lunch, you will go for afternoon bike ride as you pedal along the edge of the park, covering a distance of 25 kilometers, and get to see cool animals like zebras, Ugandan kobs and playful warthogs. This is unique experience since you get to see the animals at a close range. There is also a night game drive if you may like for nocturnal viewing.

Day 9: Another Ride Of 40km Inside the Park and Depart to Kampala

Have morning breakfast and go on another bike ride, this time, the ride is inside the park. There are still plenty of chances to see animals. After the ride, return to the lodge and have lunch and start your return journey back to Kampala. On the way, you will stop again at the Equator for souvenirs and more pictures. Continue to Kampala arriving late afternoon, drive to the lodge where you will spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 10: Kampala City Tour and Depart
